About ABIA

The Australian Book Industry Awards celebrate the achievements of authors and publishers in bringing Australian books to readers. The first award winners were announced in 2001, making the 2025 awards the 25th year of celebration!

The Awards are our way of saying hooray to the successes in making books and being in the book business. With 23 awards announced on the night, our winners are reviewed and chosen by our judging panels of industry professionals.

The 2026 ABIA awards ceremony will be held on 21 May 2026 in Sydney, with all the stars from the book industry.
