ABIAs 2016 — Save the date!

A new venue and new host in Kitty Flanagan marks next chapter for the Australian Book Industry Awards.

The Australian Book Industry Awards (ABIAs) will be held on Thursday 19 May, 2016 at the stunning surrounds of the Art Gallery of NSW. Get ready to giggle, as popular comedian Kitty Flanagan will host the night that showcases the best books of the year, as selected by the industry Academy of more than 100 experts.

With more than 55 million books sold in Australia in 2014, our book industry has every aspect of modern Australian life covered. The ABIAs celebrate the connection between Australian readers and the ‘book makers’ – authors, editors, publishing professionals and retailers, who unite to create the must-read books of the year.

Join the eclectic A-list of Australian and international guests from the worlds of literature, entertainment, business, government, the arts, media and more. There are many surprises to be revealed in the New Year. Meantime, mark Thursday 19 May in your calendar.
